Work Assignments

SLALOM EVENT MANAGEMENT SERVICES

The following describes the number of people it takes to run a slalom race:

* = Multiply times the number of gate judging stations, (probably 5 stations). ** = For Championship Events, these numbers become a nominal.
MINIMUM: 28 People MAXIMUM: 39 People

Using racers to fill work assignments:

The race split in two sessions so as to yeild a maximum number people for assignments.
Class order is key to improve the yeild of available workers.
In multi-day races, use only paddlers that are racing that day to guarantee availablity.

Using volunteers to fill work assignments:

Contracts for specific four hour blocks with specific assignment should be used.
Make sure that volunteers understand the days and hours that they are signing up for.
Volunteers who want to sign up for more four hours per day, can sign additional contract(s).
Volunteers do not have an investment in the event.
You must get iron clad agreements for their services. The contracts will help!
