It's alway best to have an organization that runs open canoe slalom races on a regular basis bid to run the ACA OCS Nationals. However that certainly is not always possible. So a new organization must either recrute persons with experience running slalom races or set up and run a local slalom race prior to the Nationals to gain the expericnce necessary to run a national event like the ACA Open Canoe Slalom National Championships.
